Headlines’ star wins IoIC’s 30 Under 30 award

Headlines' editor Sam Boniface wins IoIC's 30 Under 30 award

November 7, 2013

Headlines’ editor Sam Boniface has been named as one of the bright young things in the UK internal communications industry.

Our writing star was one of 27 up-and-coming IC professionals to be named on the prestigious annual awards shortlist.

IoIC president Suzanne Peck said: “Although there aren’t 30 people under 30 on the list this year, the 27 that are there all deserve to be celebrated.”

Sam will be presented with her award at a glitzy bash in London on Thursday, November 21.

Entries for the awards were assessed by three independent judges – Sally Holland, senior lecturer, Faculty of the Creative Industries at Southampton Solent University; Dominic Walters, former IoIC chairman; and Phil Weare, former communications manager at PSA Citroen.

Sam said: “I’m delighted.

“I’m thrilled for this recognition. To be named amongst the up-and-coming talent in the IC community is a real honour.

“Communications is a real passion of mine – and I hope that really shone through to the judges.”

This is the second award for Sam in recent weeks.

Last month, she identified as a future leader in the world of advertising and communications, winning the 2013 Women in Advertising and Communications London (WACL) Future Leaders Award.

Headlines’ Head of Content Alicia Babaee said: “Sam fully deserves both awards. Her energy and enthusiasm for her job is a joy to behold.

“Gaining this recognition from the IoIC is great news. We’re very proud of her – and rightly so.”
