Industry experts have shortlisted Headlines – The Internal Communications Agency for five prestigious awards – including a hat-trick for Tullow Oil’s in-house magazine.
The Institute of Internal Communication (IoIC) has confirmed Tullow World, which is produced in partnership with Headlines, has been shortlisted for three leading awards.
The triple success is part of five 2014 IoIC awards that Headlines has been recognised for – with IC experts also praising our work with Dixons Carphone and Shell. Every entry that has been shortlisted will receive an award of excellence.
Tullow World was launched last year aiming to connect with the FTSE 100 exploration company’s workforce of 2,000 people operating across 24 countries.
The magazine received superb feedback from employees and has now been given the seal of approval from leading figures in internal comms.
Tullow World has been nominated in the following categories: Feature-led magazine up to four issues a year; Feature; and New publication.
The special edition of The Plug – Coffee Edition, which was created by Headlines for Dixons Carphone, has been named in Special publication category.
The IoIC judge’s feedback for the pre-Christmas training document was excellent: “The entry form was genius, a beautifully presented 12pp A5 worthy of an award in itself.
“Likewise the name and strapline of the publication – The Plug (Keeping you switched on) – surely cannot be bettered as a title for this staff communication/product brochure hybrid.”
Our work with Shell has also been recognised with the diversity and inclusion article ‘Taming the Black Dog’ shortlisted in the Feature category.
Again, feedback from IoIC judges was glowing: “Congratulations on a fine example of internal communication.”
The winners of the IoIC Awards 2014 will be revealed on Friday, September 26, at the Park Plaza Riverbank, London.
