Headlines continues to be recognised for cutting-edge internal communications with four nominations in the IoIC Awards 2016.
The nominations include the game-changing InTouch app for Premier Inn and also a moving feature for Shell, written by previous IoIC award-winner Sue Kiddy.
InTouch scooped three nominations: Best Use of Digital Media – App, Best Use of Digital Media – New Channel, and Innovation – Game Changer.
Graham Davidson, Head of Digital, said: “We’ve worked really hard on the InTouch app, so to be recognised with three nominations is a fantastic achievement.
“I’m proud of how the team has made it such a success.”
Headlines’ fourth nomination is for Senior Editor Sue Kiddy’s touching article, I Was Mike, Now I’m Michelle, which has been nominated in the category Best Use of Writing and Imagery – Feature.
The feature was written for Shell International and was published externally and internally. It is about a transgender employee’s emotional journey and the support she received from the business.
This isn’t the first time Sue has been recognised by the IoIC awards – she was crowned Best Writer in 2013 and shortlisted in 2015, and won the Best Feature award in 2014.
She said: “I’m delighted to be nominated, but for me, the biggest honour was to be entrusted by Shell and Michelle herself to tell this important and personal story.”
The winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Globe Theatre in London on Friday 23 September.
