Headlines’ InTouch app for Premier Inn received the Silver Award in the Best Mobile App category at the MK Digital Awards 2016 last night.
It is the latest in a string of awards for InTouch, which was named Best Mobile App at the Institute of Internal Communication (IoIC) Awards 2016 on 23 September and which won a total of three Awards of Excellence at the same event.
The MK Digital Awards ceremony at Jurys Inn in Milton Keynes was hosted by former BBC broadcaster Robin Bailey and included presentations from industry experts as well as networking opportunities.
InTouch is a game-changing app that delivers fast-paced company news, in-depth features and videos to colleagues, and encourages two-way dialogue between the business and employees, and between employees and senior leaders.
It allows Premier Inn’s widely spread, international workforce of 19,000 to communicate with ease thanks to its accessibility and its user-friendly, engaging interface.
Graham Davidson, Head of Digital at Headlines, said: “We are extremely proud to see this app doing so well and to be part of something that is making a difference for so many employees.
“We work very closely with the Premier Inn team, which is a pleasure, and we have all worked hard to make this a success.
“Headlines is passionate about digital IC and to be recognised yet again – locally this time – is an excellent achievement.”
InTouch was shortlisted in a category with six other apps and was crowned category winner on the night.
The MK Digital Awards celebrate innovation and progressive thinking. According to the awards website, all winners “have at the core of their entry a desire to use digital media as a means to achieve greater things for their business”.
