Tullow – a London headquartered oil explorer and a constituent of the FTSE-100 with operations in 27 countries – needed a magazine and online version to help it communicate with employees across the globe.
Headlines came up with Tullow World, a bold, striking magazine and an app version that would go on to win multiple awards. The 32-page publication gave variety and depth to Tullow’s communications, explaining exploration and production operations around the world. Headlines transformed Tullow World into a multimedia experience with an app offering video, audio, animated infographics and extended image galleries.
Tullow World was named ‘best digital magazine’ in the prestigious CIPR Awards 2015, in which the judges described it as, “A high quality magazine which fulfills the objectives effectively to engage with a diverse audience. Good use of rich content to bring stories to life in a vibrant and dynamic way.” The digital publication was also named ‘Best App’ at the 2015 Institute of Internal Communication (IoIC) awards.
In a survey of 239 employees after the first issue, 100% said they enjoyed reading Tullow World.
