Lockdown loves: Amo by Bring Me The Horizon

Lockdown loves: Amo by Bring Me The Horizon

The lockdown experience has been challenging for all of us and we have found solace and escape in a variety of ways. We asked the team at Headlines to share the things that made their lockdowns more bearable and made them smile in 2020.

No.3 Amo by Bring Me The Horizon

Selected by Chris Keller – Designer

Why do you like it? What does it mean to you?

I think just music in general has been comforting during the lockdown, but this was an album that I found myself going back to over and over again – whether that was a subconscious choice or not, maybe it was some sort of security blanket.

What are your favourite aspects of the album?

I found myself being alone a lot more and having access to this album practically anywhere I went was a massive bonus.

How did it help you get through lockdown?

I never relied on music as much for entertainment over perhaps the more visual-orientated things, like TV or gaming. But I could take music with me on various adventures (not really adventures though) from walking the dog, morning workouts, cooking the evening meals, a bike ride in the summer sun, or keeping me company during bit of decorating.

In one sentence, why is it your lockdown love?

A mate who will always be there.
