Come to our networking event and office-warming party.
Are you a communications professional working in or around Milton Keynes?
Come to our networking event and office-warming party.
A lot has happened recently at Headlines; we have a new owner, a plush new website and a wonderful new office in the historic Triangle Building in Wolverton (Milton Keynes).
To celebrate, we’re holding a networking and office-warming party on October 15 from 13:00 onwards.
Why should you come?
You’re busy. We get it.
It’s no secret that most comms and marketing teams are pretty small; so why not come and share a drink with like-minded, local professionals? We’ll be running an open discussion about the challenges we’re facing as an industry, and what the future might hold. Oh, and did we mention the drinks are on us?
We will also be holding two workshops …
Tone of voice
Even as comms professionals, we can underestimate the power of the written word. It’s usually the first form of contact we have with colleagues and customers – it sets the tone. But what tone are you setting? Do you have it defined? Our editorial workshop will explore why tone of voice is integral, which brands have it down to a fine art and why consistency is the key to success.
The basics of good design
Many of you will either have in-house colleagues or work with agencies for your design work, so it is helpful to understand the basics of design and know what works and what doesn’t. Our design team will talk through the essentials and then host a critiquing session where we will look at some examples of good and bad design to get a strong understanding of the most common pitfalls and how they can be avoided. It helps to have this knowledge when dealing with agencies!
There will be a lot to learn and a chance to workshop your challenges with a group of fellow comms people, so don’t miss out on this fantastic event – get your tickets now at Eventbrite, and we look forward to seeing you there.
